Common Words from the Losers
Give me 5 minutes to talk with someone and I can size up whether they’re a winner or on track to be a loser who settles.
The way you talk to yourself and others says a lot about how you are as a person. And it frames your world view for how you perceive yourself and everything around you. Unfortunately, this is an area lots of people need to work on.
So here are the biggest problem words I hear that indicate L for loser.
Check yourself when you say them and get your friends to call you out every time you utter them.
If…
If things work out…
If I can…
No.
WHEN* things work out
There is no if.
You need to act like you know that everything is going to work out and get your mind used to viewing that as the natural order of the world.
What you want is what will happen.
There are no opportunities for the alternative.
I hope
Hope is the hallmark of a victim.
When you hope, you are in a position of weakness. Hope removes your responsibility from the equation.
Losers hope.
Winners make shit happen.
And if not, on to the next with lessons learned.
I wish
Same as above.
Life isn’t a fairy tale. You want it? Go get it.
Try
Didn’t you watch Star Wars.
Do or do not. There is no try.
You will*
You’re going to*.
Even if it doesn’t work out, you never let your mind accept that reality.
Put 100% into it or don’t do it at all. Don’t try me.
I need to
I don’t want to hear about what “needs” to be done.
Either you’re going to do it or you’re not. Simple.
And until then, either shut up or say:
I’m going to.
Conclusion
These are just a few of the things you say when you’re in a loser mindset.
Check yourself and replace them or stay silent altogether. Your words are powerful, and you can’t go around spewing words that sub-communicate weakness and remove your responsibility for your outcomes in life.
What are some others that you’ve heard?
Happy Monday. Go get it.
